file Rich Note in DocumentPublisher

7 years 2 months ago #890 by osl
Hi,

Here is a sample project with a rich note on a class and the corresponding document (ready to generate).
Both the rich note and the document are Open Office writer documents.
Versions used: Modelio 2.1.1 and Document Publisher 3.2.2.

I attach a screenshot showing the generated document.

Best regards,

OSL

The functionality in Modelio seems to work as expected, the problem I'm having is most likely with Word itself. I have found that when I use the full path to the Word Document "piece" it is then able to find and render the contents. Is there a way to have Modelio use the full path to the piece when generating the output file?

As a work around to this I have the following steps, for those who are also having a similar issue.

1. Open the generated work document in a Zip file program, I use WinRar as it doesn't seem to play around with the file format as much
2. Navigate to and open the word/document.xml file
3. Search and Replace for all INCLUDETEXT <<Relative path to the output file>> with <<Absolut path to the output file>>

Make sure that you don't replace the file name portion of the relative path.
Also make sure the you use "\\" as the path separator to ensure it's escaped properly by Word

Cheers
