lightbulb-o Problems with Modelio workspace on a Mac OSX network disk

4 years 1 week ago #3704 by biergaertner
Hello,

I tried to place my Modelio 3.4 workspace on a NAS drive which is mounted on my Mac OSX using AFP protocol. I can successfully change to the workspace on the network folder but as soon as I try to open a certain project I get the following error:

"Couldn't lock the "xxx" project : Operation is not supported."

I tried to create new projects but I get similar errors. I encountered same problems with eclipse workspaces but I can disable locking adding the line
osgi.locking=none

to the config.ini file. However, I tried the same for Modelio config.ini but without success. Is there a possibility to disable file locking in Modelio? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Jan

Hi,

Add this option "-Dosgi.locking=none" to the modelio.ini file and launch Modelio, does it help?

Hello,

I cannot find a modelio.ini file, I only see a config.ini file in the configuration directory which I already altered. I also tried to add

-Dosgi.locking=none

as an additional parameter when starting modelio. The option is recognized but it still doesn't work:

19:11:09.076 INFO o.modelio.app.ui - Command line arguments = '-clearPersistedState -Dosgi.locking=none '
19:11:09.320 INFO o.m.app.core - BundleEvent STARTED
19:11:09.338 INFO o.m.mda.infra - BundleEvent STARTED
19:11:09.344 INFO o.modelio.app.ui - Modelio version : '3.4.00'

Any further ideas?
