map-pin Running Modelio on a Linux workstation

5 years 3 months ago #2256 by gfgepi
Hi !
I've just migrated my project from 2.2 to 3.0.1
I work on Ubuntu with modelio-open-201311041840-linux.gtk.x86_64
-> There is no modelio.sh in the modelio directory

Launching modelio (executable) works fine; but what if I want to use a language pack? It seems that that feature is managed by modelio.sh in the 2.2 version.
Indeed, I've tried to run modelio with the french language pack without success...

Cheers,
Gilles

Hi gfgepi,

When you extract the content of the language-pack-201311041840-french.zip file you should not have a directory language-pack-201311041840-french in your Modelio installation folder.
The zip file contains 2 directories: plugins and features, these 2 directories overwrite the existing ones.

Please let us know if it helps.

Best regards

Hi pan,
Actually overwriting didn't worked but just copying the files of each directory (plugins, features) in the existing modelio ones (plugins, features) works fine.
Best regards,
Gilles

Great!

We will add some information to the language packs page to avoid users falling in this problem.
