file Break lines in guards

1 month 1 week ago #6563 by Ralf Ebert
Hi,

in an activity diagram I've some guards like
iRscPointer != s_ptIolReadWriteTSRsc->tWriteRequest.ptClient1

which I try to break into two lines like
iRscPointer !=
  s_ptIolReadWriteTSRsc->tWriteRequest.ptClient1

I can do this by adding spaces after != and change the size of the box in which the guard is shown. But is there an easier way to do this?

Used version of ModelIO:
  • Version 5.1.00
  • Build: 202207062130
  • System: win32 (10.0)
  • Architecture: x86_64

Best regards,
Ralf Ebert

Dear Ralf,

I am not sure there is a better way using Modelio GUI but (and there is always a but...) this is doable by using Modelio Java API.

For example, you can use the following jython script to have a guard on 2 lines
elt.setGuard("line1 \r\n line2")

Here is the result.

Hoping it helps,
EBR

Hi ebr,

thank you for your hint.

I think, I must realize this with an JPython-script. Is it possible to bind a script to an input field of the properties or is there a way to view an dialog with a script?

Best regards,
Ralf

Hi Ralf,

I am not sure to really understood what you meant by "bind a script to an input field of the properties" and "a way to view an dialog with a script" ...
