question-circle Extend and Include labels for use case relationships

2 years 4 months ago - 2 years 4 months ago #5955 by Robert Hairgrove
Why are the labels for <<extend>> and <<include>> sterepotypes for use cases capitalized in Modelio? (i.e.: <<Extend>> and <<Include>>). I've never seen that before; most other modeling applications I have seen will not capitalize these.

Is there a setting where these can be changed?

(EDIT: I did notice in the meantime that Visual Paradigm seems to do this, too ... not sure if there is a rule about it, though.)

Hi Robert,

Unfortunatly Modelio does not provide a way to change the stereotype layout as it is defined it its modules/extensions.

The included relationship supports the reuse of functionality in a use-case model. Extend relationships. In UML modeling, you can use an extend relationship to specify that one use case (extension) extends the behavior of another use case (base). This is the same scenario for circle labels as well.

Hi,

<<Extend>> and <<Include>> stereotypes come with internal Modelio metamodel, so I don't think there is a way to change their layout without building a new Modelio version.

Best,
