Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with adding pool to the BPMN Model.
Simply i cannot see it in model pallette which looks like this:

Can You please tell me how can i modify the pallete or just add pool?

Best regards,
junker

Hi Junker,

Adding a tool in a palette requires to creates a Modelio module cf https://www.modelio.org/documentation-menu/developer-api.html .

Maybe your issue is more an issue with Modelio diagram scope.
In one hand, a Modelio BPMN Process Design Diagram is used to describe a dedicaded process or pool so having a second does not make sense but you can always add internal elements.

In other hand, a Modelio BPMN Process Collaboration Diagram is used to described the exchange/collaboration between process or pole so adding a new pool here make more sense.

Hoping it helps,
EBR

Hello ebr,

Thank You for Your answer and for sharing information about Modelio's approach to BPMN.

I understand that but i cannot agree with all statements You've made. As you said

Modelio BPMN Process Design Diagram is used to describe a dedicaded process or pool so having a second does not make sense but you can always add internal elements.

I don't think it doesn't have sense, how about a process where two organizations are participating in it ?

Below i share an example, and pools are much needed to visualise such situation:

I highly recommend to take in under development cosideration. It might helps You with gaining new users.
I must resing of BPMN modelling with modelio but I'm still using it for UML which works really good for me :)

Best wishes,
Junker

Dear Junker,

Maybe I was unclear but Modelio supports BPMN 2.0 notation so of course it is possible to create the model you presented in your previous message cf. the end of this message.

This is done by using three diagrams :
- Two BPMN Process Design Diagram (Customer and E-store)
- One BPMN Collaboration Diagram to crearte the message between the process.

Best,
EBR

Dear ebr,

Thank You for every detail provided. Your attached imaged shows that it is trurly possible. :)
To sum up if I want to achive something like this i need to:

1) Create BPMN Process (customer)
2) Create BPMN Process (E-store)
3) Create BPMN Collaboration and add connections

1), 2) need to be created separately.

Best regards,
junker
