file Actor, Control, Boundary, Entity Symbols for Sequence Diagrams

2 weeks 6 days ago #5194 by dmeyer
Hello...

I've downloaded Modelio 3.7 (Ubuntu) today and have been working with Sequence Diagrams. I have not been able to find symbols an Actor, Control, Boundary, etc. which I could use at the top of a Lifeline.

The palette includes Nodes, Messages, Information Flow, Common, and Drawings symbols, but none of these include the aforementioned ones. Do I need to install and/or load some additional module to get these symbols?

Thank you for your help.

Blessings,
Doug

Hi,

Some kinds of elements don't appear in the palette but still can be created with smart interactions.
For example, if you drop an Actor from the Model view into your Sequence Diagram, you'll get a Lifeline representing the Actor. That also works for Class, Usecase, etc.)

'Boundaries' and 'Controls' are Robustness Diagram elements which Modelio does not provide.
However, they can be represented with other elements. Like an Interface to represent a Boundary for example.
