check [Solved] Losing informations in diagram after change from 3.6 to 3.7

5 months 1 week ago - 5 months 1 week ago #4876 by Ralf Ebert
Hi,
after update modelio from version 3.6 to version 3.7 I've created a new class diagram. I've stored the model and on the next day I opened it again. The diagram which I see now looks right (see attached file Picture1.png). After change to an other diagram I saw that some information in this diagram were lost (marked partly in attached file Picture2.png). After I switch back to the diagram which was shown after I have reopened the model similar parts of the were lost (see attached file Picture3.png). I'm able to redraw the lost parts using Unmask -> Structuring links but if I try to move the parts I get an Internal Error message (see attached file Picture4.png).

Why the diagrams does loose information and how can I solve this problem.

Today I have activated the debug output and attached the log file. Other information of the used version of ModelIO:
  • Version 3.7.00
  • Build: 201711211349
  • System: win32 (6.1)
  • Architecture: x86_64

I hope this helps

Dear Ralf,

Hi Ralf,

I think I reproduce your problem.

When using the same Interfaces on differents Required/Provided Interfaces in several diagrams, they appear in double in the diagrams.
Not sure it's exactly the same problem as you, but i get the same kind of error in the log.

I've made an issue on our tracker : http://forge.modelio.org/issues/332

Note that this problem appears only when both diagrams are opened.
Can you try again with only one diagram open at a time ?

Hope this helps,
cde.
