file Setup on Linux (avoid dummy /workspace, Mozilla Path, Libreoffice, etc.)

Hi,

1) We don't reproduce this behavior. Can you give us more information? Which OS are you using? What are the files created in this new workspace?

2) If you have the libwebkit it should be OK. Check the Linux requirements .

3) Do you have problems with LibreOffice or OpenOffice? What kind of problems are you encoutering?

If you check the Linux requirements (on point 2) your setup should be OK.

Same behaviour here.
Debian GNU/Linux stable.
Modelio unzipped in home directory and run from there.
See error dialogue as attached image.

This happens when choosing "Edit element" in the context menu,
no matter which element, no matter if in model tree on the left
or in the diagram.

Also, I realised that the path "/usr/bin/libreoffice" cannot be set
in the Modelio main menu configuration dialogue, since all
text edit fields are disabled.

christian,
Do you have the libwebkit installed in your system?

Problem is SOLVED.

I did NOT have it installed.

However, following your hint, I installed "libwebkit",
for which many different versions and Debian packages exist.

I started by installing "libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37",
but the same error appeared in Modelio when trying
to edit an element.

Then I continued with installing "libwebkit2gtk-3.0-25",
restarted Modelio, but the same error remained.

Next, I installed "libwebkitgtk-3.0-0" and nothing changed.

Finally, the package "libwebkitgtk-1.0-0" was installed by me.
And: IT WORKS!

Lastly, I removed/purged the unneeded packages:
"libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37"
"libwebkit2gtk-3.0-25"
"libwebkitgtk-3.0-0"
and all still works fine. The dialogue is shown.

However, I have to mention that sometimes, display errors
occur (white spots). For example, when maximising the window,
the "Close" button is not shown anymore.
Possibly, this is a libwebkit problem.

Perhaps you could add some hint to the installation instructions
for Linux? Also, which libwebkit API version Modelio is using.

Thanks,
Christian

The display errors and lost "Close" button when maximising
do not appear anymore.

This seems to happen only when multiple versions
of libwebkit are installed.

As indicated in the requirements page, it is the libwebkit-1.0 which is required. However maybe there is conflicts if several libwebkit are present in the system.

We'll try to test this configuration (several libwebkit installed).
