check [Solved] Java exception when creating diagram

1 year 5 months ago #5025 by rvg
Hello,

I'm working on a modelio project since a few weeks.
To day I added a huge sequence diagram.

After a while, the application stops to work correctly:
Adding a new diagram causes an internal error (org.eclipse.e4.core.di.InjectionException: java.lang.NullPointerException
java.lang.NullPointerException)

Creation of any element (package, class ...) does nothing, but a an error can by seen on the console:
16:36:34.350 WARN modelio.core - Transaction 'Create element' not committed, auto-rollbacking.
java.lang.Throwable: Transaction 'Create element' not committed, auto-rollbacking.
at org.modelio.vcore.session.impl.transactions.Transaction.close(Transaction.java:268)

I spent a lot of time on this project and would be happy if I could get it back.

Thanks in advance for any idea to do this.

Hi rvg,

We've fixed your project, you can find it attached to this post.

By the way, the Modelio 3.7.1 patch introduces a new feature for the Sequence Diagrams (numbering of the sequence messages using the 'Show numbers' graphic option) as well as various little fixes and improvements.

See the Modelio 3.7.1 changelog for more informations.

Best regards,
cde.

Thanks a lot for your help. I upgraded also to version 3.7.1.

I have still an issue in the sequence diagram editor.
When I try to move up the starting point of a create message, it may enter the name box of the role.
After that I'm not able to get it back to the time line (until undo).
Since I'm relative new to modelio, I'm not sure if this is the normal behavior, but it is a little bit confusing.

Hi rvg,

I don't reproduce your problem...

Can you post some screenshots so i can be sure i understand it well ?

Also is it happening in your old diagram or in a new one ?

Best regards,
cde.
