file Models for Togaf: Goal

1 year 8 months ago #4449 by anujdd
Hi,

I am using Modelio 3.6 to model Business diagrams defined by TOGAF. I am not able to find the model to define business goals. I browsed through the tutorials and there is a mention of models to define Business Goals. I have added the modules for togaf and I am able to see various diagrams recommended by Togaf. Can someone please help?

Thanks,
Anuj

Hi Anuj,

Maybe could you add an example from the tutorial in order to show what you want to do.

Modelio is able to model Goals but I am not sure if Business Goals are Goals used in the Business layer of Togaf or something else...
Goals must be created under a "Goal container" which is under an "Analyst sub - project". I attached a screenshot to illustrate that.

Hoping it helps,

Thanks for your response. I referred to your attachment and this is exactly what I want to model. But I am not able to see Goal container. How do we add goal container?

Thanks & regards,
Anuj

Hi Anuj,

First of all Goal can not be create with Modelio open Source, you have to use a commercial version as Modelio Business Architecture .
Then in a new project,

you have to right click on the top element to create an "Analyst sub-project"

Then on this "Analyst sub-project", you should be able to create a Goal container,

and finally your project with a Goal container should look like

Hoping it helps,
