In which type of diagrams can I unmask a requirement?

There is two things: unmasking and creating.
Unmask in the diagram is the action to drag & drop an element from the explorer to the diagram. In this case, you can unmask an existing requirement in any diagram.

If you try to create a requirement directly in the diagram, it's another story. When you try to create an element in a diagram, it is created on the diagram's owner. The UML diagrams belongs to UML elements so you cannot create a requirement or a requirementcontainer in a UML diagram because a requirement cannot belong to a UML element.
If you want to work with requirement elements you must work in the Analyst model scope. So you need to work with requirements' diagrams if you want to create requirements or requirementcontainers.

I am able to create via contextual menu requirements and requirments containers finally. But once they are created and assigned an owner I am not able to see them in my diagrams. Why could this be happening?

Sure. Take into account that to create a requirement it can only be done from the analyst proj

ect and first creating a requirement container.
